THE WORK
Everything on this panel is built up and then broken: burlap under the paint, nails holding the tear apart, orange running down out of the wound. He got caught in the gap.
LOOK CLOSER · The nails are real and they are load-bearing. Handprints are pressed into the yellow on both sides of the tear.
