A voice for the voiceless.
Raechell grew up at the piano, singing before she knew it could be a job, and made her first EP at sixteen. She went on to train in vocal performance, theory, composition and music psychology.
Her songs go where upbeat pop usually won't. She writes to give words to the things people struggle to say out loud, so the person listening feels seen and a little less alone. In her words, she wants to be a voice for the voiceless.
Her current project is her most ambitious: a seven-episode visual album made with collaborators across Toronto, each song paired with its own film.

Raechell Tamaryn is a Toronto-based R&B and soul singer, songwriter and performer who made her first EP at sixteen. Her emotional, story-driven songs explore identity, healing and faith, and her current project is a seven-episode visual album pairing each song with a film. The latest, Cliff, is a collaboration with Kemdilo. Offstage she organizes her own Toronto shows, including Golden! and The Butterfly Gala, and teaches music.
