Have a story
worth telling?

Spacedread Stories works with selected artists, brands, businesses and strange people doing interesting things. If you're making something a stranger would stop scrolling for, tell us about it.

Pitch us your story ↓
Track one

Editorial consideration

Free. The desk reads every pitch and picks the stories it wants to tell. If we write about you, we report it like any other story: we check what can be checked and we don't run your press release. It can't be bought, and it isn't guaranteed.

Track two

A partner story

Paid. We make a story with you, written by us, built to be worth reading on its own. It's labelled PARTNER STORY with your name at the top of the page, on the card, on the share image and in the search data. That label is why readers trust the rest of the section, and why the story works.

The rule we don't bend

Nothing paid is ever dressed up as independent journalism. The Void, our fiction desk, never carries a sponsor at all. Everything we publish says what it is before the first line.

What people pitch us

  • Your brand
  • A business
  • A project
  • An event
  • A product
  • Music
  • Art
  • A film
  • A founder story
  • A campaign
  • A strange cultural story nobody has told properly

The pitch

Ten minutes, tops. Say it like you'd say it to a friend. The more specific it is, the more likely we are to write it.

  1. A person reads itEvery pitch lands with the Stories desk, not a bot.
  2. If it's a fit, we write backBy email, with questions, next steps, and for partner stories, what it costs.
  3. Nothing runs without a yesNo charge, no commitment, no publishing until both sides agree.
How would you like to be considered?Organic stories are chosen by the desk, can't be bought and aren't guaranteed. A partner story is paid, written by us, and labelled with your name at the top of the page.
Images or a one-pager (optional)Up to three files: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or PDF, 15 MB each. Private: only the desk can open them.

We use your email to reply to this pitch and for nothing else. No list, no newsletter unless you ask.

The kind of work we do

The Gorilla Flow #1 cover: a roaring gorilla in a diamond grill and a Papi AQ chain, an eagle diving out of a lightning sky, the Toronto skyline and the CN Tower behind them, all in black and white.

His first single since he got married. Two minutes and twenty seconds, out now on his own label.

Kyle DaSilva Is the Engineer You've Been Hearing Without Knowing It

He engineered a #1 Latin record and mastered the crew's videos. The least visible person on the team, finally in the frame.

Two tall painted panels side by side: a ringed orange sun over deep blue with a tiny green figure, and an enormous eye releasing a column of small bright shapes.

Why Physical Art Is Coming Back in a Digital World

Vinyl just passed a billion dollars again. Online art sales just hit a six-year low. People want the thing in the room.
