One track, two minutes and twenty seconds, released on Gorillax Music Group, the label he founded to give Latin artists in Canada somewhere to put their music out. The copyright line on the release carries the label's name. So does the song.
Look at the cover
A gorilla mid roar, teeth set in a diamond grill, a chain across its chest spelling Papi AQ. An eagle comes down at it out of a lightning sky. Behind both of them: Toronto at night, CN Tower and all. The city he was raised in sits in the background of the loudest thing on the cover, which is about right.
The title carries a number, and a number one usually means a two is coming. We'll be listening.
Where it lands
His most popular record is still Bandida (2024). With Spacedread he made SOLO TÚ, which reached #1 on Apple Music Canada's Latin Songs chart. He built TRPKL, the event series, on top of all that. Gorilla Flow #1 is the first new music from him as a married man, and it opens the next chapter with a roar.
